David Robson
While completing a degree in Comparative Religion, David began a daily yoga practice. He made his first trip to India in 2002, where he initiated studies with his teacher Sharath Jois. Since then, David has returned annually to deepen and enrich his practice and teaching. He is Level-2 Authorized by the Sri K. Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute. David teaches workshops and retreats around the world, and he recently released a popular series of videos on vinyasa, Learn To Float. David Robson lives in Toronto, Canada, with his wife, and their two children. He is the director of the Ashtanga Yoga Centre of Toronto, where he leads one of the worldís largest Mysore programs.

Pain-free Backbending

Backbends don?t have to hurt. This workshop will explore the basic alignment and actions of Ashtanga?s Primary Series backbends. By learning correct technique for the poses, take the pain out of backbending and allow your body to safely go deeper into the postures. This workshop is open to practitioners of all levels.

Jump Back & Jump Through

Jump Back & Jump Through is all about the transitional jumping vinyasas of Ashtanga Yoga. These dynamic movements run like a thread through the sitting poses, joining them together. The vinyasas that link Ashtanga?s sitting poses can be particularly challenging. This workshop goes through the jump-back and jump-through in close detail, and provides invaluable instructions useful for all levels of practitioners.
