Faculty - Lauren Eckstrom

Lauren Eckstrom guides some of the world’s most well-known musicians, executives, and Fortune 500 companies in both yoga and meditation. She co-authored “Holistic Yoga Flow: The Path of Practice” and is co-creator of the digital program "Yoga 30 for 30." She was also the associate producer of the award-winning DVD series The Ultimate Yogi. Lauren leads Holistic Yoga Flow workshops, retreats and teacher trainings in both the Los Angeles area and internationally. She regularly facilitates workshops and conversations that advocate yoga as a healing practice for all abilities, body types, and backgrounds.

Yoga & the Practice of Self Compassion

This workshop, focused on cultivating self-compassion, begins with a talk on self-compassion and what it means to practice compassion inwardly. Loving Kindness or Metta Meditation begins the class which is followed by a gentle yoga practice suitable for all levels. If props are available, the asana portion ends with an extended restorative yoga practice and guided Yoga Nidra.

The Journey to Gratitude

A heart opening, backbending themed Holistic Yoga Flow practice (level 2+) with pranayama, Gratitude Meditation and a written exercise to open the body, heart and mind to the power of gratitude. During the practice the science and supportive research behind the benefits of gratitude are shared to help empower the effectiveness of the practice.
