Tracey Soghrati BSc., BSc.N, MA, RN, RP, C-IAYT
Tracey is a passionate change-maker with a critical eye and the capacity to inspire people to action. Her signature skill is the
ability to deliver classes that explore the intersection between mind and body through the practice of yoga.

She is deeply inspired by the use of movement as a therapeutic tool and focuses on functional movement patterns, the establishment of deep inner stability, and the use of breathing practices to modify anxiety. Her goal in working with people is to facilitate the ability to engage in productive self-reflection so that each individual emerges with the feeling that they are stronger and more capable of having engaged in the process together. She is also a mom, a wife, and a passionate lover of life in all of its expressions.

Education & Experience

Tracey is a Registered Psychotherapist, Nurse, and Certified Yoga Therapist. Her formal education includes post-secondary studies in molecular biology, nursing, critical care nursing, advanced life support, anatomy & pathophysiology, parenting/child development, health education, perinatal care, Swedish massage, and Thai yoga massage. She also has a Masters in Counselling Psychology, with additional certification in CBT, DBT, ACT, SFBT, and MI.

She has accumulated 20 years of experience in clinical assessment (encompassing physical, and emotional health in hospitals, public health, and private practice).

In the field of Yoga, she has completed over 2500 Hours of Yoga Teacher Training and Yoga Therapy Training including Jivamukti Yoga, Prenatal Yoga, Kids Yoga, Yoga Therapy, Hatha Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, and Mindfulness Meditation.

She is a ‘teacher’s teacher’ and has collectively delivered over 15,000 hours of yoga teachers' training.

Anxiety represents one of the greatest global mental health concerns. This workshop will use an East meets West, mind-body approach to explore symptoms, causes and effects of anxiety, conventional treatment, and practices to facilitate stability in the mind and ease in the body.

Yoga for Depression

Depression is estimated to affect 300 million people worldwide. You will gain an understanding of Beck's Depression Inventory, the symptoms, causes, and conventional treatment of depression, and mind-body approaches to treatment. We will focus on breathing practices, developing emotional strength and resilience, and cultivating strong social support. You will leave with key skills and strategies for educating your students on self-care.
