These simple techniques can eliminate or reduce pain and help the recipient to advance their practice. Created by the Buddhas Doctor, this ancient practice dates back 2500 years as a way to soothe sore muscles after long periods of meditation, making an ideal addition to any yoga practice.

In this workshop we will explore the details of these two essential elements of yoga: what they are, what they mean traditionally, how they can be incorporated into our daily routines, and how they can significantly advance our physical yoga practice. Our time together will include discussion, interactive exercises, and active but accessible physical practice to bring these powerful philosophical principles to life on your mat. AM/PM Yoga Based on Energy Flow & Circadian Rhythm - Insights from Traditional Yoga, Ayurveda & TCM

Deepti Sehgal - FR2SEH

Many people spend their crucial morning hours sleeping in bed and prefer strenuous exercising during evening hours when our body is preparing to slow down after the day’s activity. Aligning our yoga practice according to how our body systems function in the morning and evening helps to regulate our physiology and psychology and is the ancient secret to a healthy nervous system, high energy levels, and sound body and mind health. This workshop interactively explores and educates about the traditional understanding of how our body performs its various activities in coordination with the circadian rhythm, such as producing waste in deep sleep hours, activating digestion in the morning with the flow of digestive juices active in the morning, slowing down digestion in the evening and so on, and how to align the Yogic practices with the systems that are active in the morning and need to be slowed down during in the evening hours.

Through understanding these concepts, you can work towards creating a safe and open environment for healing and release in your students and clients. Unlock and release stagnant energy from your body through the power of your breath! Somatic Breathwork is an effective technique that involves controlled breathing, breath holds, and shamanic music to guide you on an inward journey of physical and emotional release. This popular technique increases vitality, energy, and blood flow to the body and the breathing apparatus, while soothing sound therapy facilitates deep relaxation and healing. This journey combines therapeutic sound, yoga/somatic movement, and breathwork as complementary healing disciplines to promote vitality, nitric oxide output, and resilience to stress. In our society, chronic stress and a lack of mental well-being have become the norm, as we often outsource our healing instead of empowering ourselves. This journey aims to teach you how to access the dormant bliss inside your cells, allowing you to become your own medicine. Using my extensive background in Trauma-Informed yoga practice, I will teach you somatic movement practices to regulate your nervous system and restorative yoga asanas to relieve embodied stress that may have manifested as pain or tension. You will also learn how to link your breath to movement and use it to deepen your yoga practice, flexibility, and mind-body connection. Stephanie and I will guide you through a sacred sound journey using high-quality and high-vibrational instruments such as singing bowls, shamanic drums, chimes, rain sticks, and rhythmic music to facilitate a full-body somatic experience. Sound healing has been used for thousands of years to promote mental, physical, and emotional healing and can reduce muscle tension, increase vagal tone, and lessen symptoms of health conditions caused by chronic stress. This unique experience harnesses the power of therapeutic sound paired with restorative trauma-informed yoga, somatic movement, and somatic Breathwork to help you use your own body, breath, and healing vibration to facilitate a rhythmic and flowing experience. Decoding Strength & Resilience

Thanks to the media, we’re all pretty familiar with the importance of strength training nowadays. From the effects of myokines on cognition, blood sugar, bones, & tumors to the importance of maintaining muscle mass over our lifespan, strength training is essential to our health. It’s easy enough to lift weights and increase our strength capacity at the gym but there is so much more to strength, like our functional capacity, movement efficiency, endurance, and the strength of our collagen matrix for injury resilience. After all, our muscles are only as strong as the connective tissue matrix that holds them together and allows them to transmit force. This class will investigate research-based practices that you can bring onto your mat to train the capacity of both the muscle and connective tissue to help enhance performance and minimize injuries. Tiffany has worked with professional athletes across the US and helped create the Nike Wellness Center programs (at Nike WHQ) and so brings a wealth of both cutting edge knowledge and depth of experience from her specialty in sports medicine over the past 28 years of her career. Whether you’re dealing with the last remnants of an injury, trying to enhance performance & strength, or looking to help minimize injuries & feel your best this class will explore ways to train the tissues toward strength & resilience over time to cultivate youthfulness through our lifespan. This class takes a modern lens to our traditional asanas with plenty of information to help you bring the concepts home with you. All you need is some vinyasa experience, all levels are welcome.

In The Light of Truth - The Evolution of True Awareness

Tony Commisso - SA3LEE

This Workshop addresses one of the most misunderstood concepts introduced by psychoanalyst Carl Jung who coined the phrase “shadow self” which basically represents the things people subconsciously repress for any number of reasons. Contrary to what many people believe, the shadow is not the deep dark secrets we are trying to hide from others. It is more to do with the environmental conditioning that most of us are not even aware of. “Stepping Into the Light” is all about self-awareness and our ability to shine light on the things that are controlling our lives including the limiting beliefs that we have been conditioned to accept as our truth. The following is a quote that is attributed to Carl Jung’s work that depicts how our behavior and actions are basically defining us and ultimately our lives. “Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.”

Your DNA carries the memories of trauma forward until that trauma has been healed. When your emotions are not given the space to be released, they become stored in your DNA and can be passed on to future generations. Generational Healing is an energetic healing method that focuses on healing inherited family trauma passed down through our ancestral lineages' DNA. By connecting with the stories of your ancestors, you can explore the traumas that have been handed down through your ancestral lineages and create a safe space for growth and healing without the programming of family history.

This Reflex often causes pain or limited range of motion on one side of the body, which is why a yoga posture may feel different on each side. Trauma Reflex can occur after physical injuries such as a sprained ankle, a fall, or hip or knee surgery. It can also occur after significant emotional events, both positive and negative. It affects breathing, digestion, organ, and mental health, and leads to common pain diagnoses such as low back pain, neck and shoulder tension, IBS, migraines, thoracic outlet syndrome, plantar fasciitis, and sciatica. SMA is distinctly characterized by three familiar Somatic Reflex Patterns held in the brain and nervous system. You will learn about the different presentations of SMA and how it might be manifesting in your body as habitual postural patterns on and off the mat. Discover the connection between stress and sensory motor amnesia, as well as how to recognize and release these three common Somatic Reflex Patterns. The workshop will involve theory, movement explorations and discussion. We will guide you to reconnect with your sensing and feeling body to identify areas of Sensory Motor Amnesia. Then learn simple and effective techniques to regain control and awareness over those muscles. You will leave the workshop equipped with a toolbox of new understanding and skills that you can use to identify SMA in your students and integrate this into your classes.

Meditation made Inspiring

Ted Grand - SU3GRA

He is a bit of a rebel when it comes to exploring the ways in which some of the traditions in the yoga and meditation world are outdated, inequitable, and rigid. In this workshop, we will be doing some gentle yoga poses before meditating to slow everything down and prepare the body for a cool and calming experience. Meditation doesn't have to be boring and crazy-making. So, let's explore some techniques that make this practice interesting, inspiring, and transformative. If we can bring more peace and emotional regulation into our lives, we can use that shift to become more content individuals and live more easeful, kind, and generous lives.

Participants will be provided with heated acuproducts and will learn specific formulas for releasing pain in the low back and sciatica, as well as the upper back and neck, with a strong emphasis on experiential learning.
